Google Calendar Now Available on Apple Watch

Google Calendar has finally arrived on Apple Watch,

and you can grab it now if your watch is supported.

This marks only the fourth Google app to roll out on Apple Watch, even though many other Google apps are already on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

The Calendar app slipped onto Apple Watch without any big announcement from either company, showing up with the 25.24.1 update. Like the Wear OS version, this new app keeps things simple. You can’t add or edit events right from your wrist. Any changes send you back to the Calendar app on your iPhone.

The app shows a list of upcoming events, each one as a colored card. Tapping a card opens up more details: location, extra notes, the time, and date.

The update also adds two new complications for your watch faces. That means you can see what’s coming up next on your schedule at a glance.

It’s been over five years since a new Google app joined the Apple Watch group. Google Maps showed up first in 2015 but was pulled in 2017. It came back in 2020. Google Keep and YouTube Music joined later in 2019 and 2020. However, Google recently removed the Keep app just before the Notes app landed in watchOS 26.

Seeing Google Calendar come to Apple Watch might be a hint that more Google apps are on the way. Services like Gmail, Home, Photos, and Fit are on iPhone and Wear OS, so it would make sense if they followed next. Calendar’s launch shows it’s possible, since its features match closely with the Wear OS version.

Would more Google services on your watch make your day easier?
