Google Keep Drops Support for Apple Watch

Google has updated its Keep app, removing support for the Apple Watch. The app’s current iTunes page now shows screenshots only for iPhone and iPad. Google first made Keep available for Apple Watch in 2019 after a long break from the platform. Keep continued working on the watch since that time but received no major updates.

Anyone using Google Keep for lists or reminders on their Apple Watch must now look for another app. Alternatives include Microsoft OneNote, which works on both Android and Apple Watch. Apple is also adding its Notes app to watchOS 26 later this year, with syncing across Mac, iPhone and iPad. While Notes does not have an Android version, users can open it from any browser with iCloud, along with features like Find My.

Google Keep is unchanged for iPhone and iPad use. The newest update only delivers bug fixes. Users on these devices can still take notes and make to-do lists in Keep.

Although Google ended Keep’s Apple Watch support, it released a basic Calendar app for Apple Watch. This app presents a week of meetings and Google Tasks as cards, and tapping a card brings up more details.
